Guardify was launched in 2018 as a cloud-based solution called “VidaNyx” to support multidisciplinary teams in collaborating, investigating, and managing digital evidence. It was developed through a collaboration involving the National Children’s Alliance, expert attorneys, forensic interviewers, therapists, the FBI, and other key stakeholders. The company began solving challenges for nonprofit organizations as a part of the justice system, especially for often-overlooked and underserved users. The original focus was on helping child forensic interviewers replace DVDs for securely sharing protected evidence and other sensitive information with members of their multidisciplinary and legal teams. VidaNyx rebranded to Guardify in 2024 and now protects hundreds of thousands of victims' stories, serving over 80,000 users and 16,000 agencies across all 50 states. In addition to child advocacy centers, Guardify is seeing growth across criminal justice agencies at the county and statewide levels. As a result, Guardify has expanded its focus to address the needs of prosecutors, law enforcement, and defense attorneys, as well as in judicial and courtroom settings, in managing all digital evidence. Guardify helps reduce reliance on physical storage, DVDs, and administrative tasks, which translates to significant cost savings. Guardify's cloud native architecture provides greatly improved HIPAA and CJIS security compliant workflows, improving collaboration and cooperation among partnering agencies and all stakeholders involved in criminal justice to lead to better outcomes. Guardify has a nationwide presence, with statewide evidence management systems launched as early as 2019 and currently active in Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah. It has major accounts in Texas, New York, Missouri, and Maryland - as well as several Indian Nations. Guardify's platform helps to overcome geographical barriers in states like Nebraska, ensuring timely and equitable access to justice, particularly for rural communities. Guardify's unlimited user access and workflow flexibility support county and statewide reach by enabling seamless communication and collaboration among stakeholders. The platform facilitates secure evidence sharing and case coordination, promoting a consistent and coordinated approach to investigations statewide. Guardify connects professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, and other relevant agencies, fostering secure, efficient information exchange and case management.
