Victim Advocate, Activist, and Founder Jenna's Law
A large percentage of the world’s population subscribes to a type of religion, including most child sex offenders. Yet many in the field of social services, mental health, and spiritual care are not prepared to address the significant spiritual injury that survivors of child sexual abuse often face. This training illustrates survivor stories impacted by spiritual injury and prepares attendees to recognize and respond to the spiritual impact of abuse. Through research findings participants will examine the most common warning signs and effects of spiritual impact, discover methods to address spiritual injury, and explore areas for improvement with MDTs and the faith community.
