Serving as the nation’s clearinghouse on victim identification information, NCMEC’s CVIP provides crucial services in child sexual exploitation cases. This presentation will explore essential resources that facilitate case prioritization, victim identification, as well as victim notification and restitution. Case studies will demonstrate how these services are applied to cases, originating from CyberTipline reports, files submitted by law enforcement, and the Dark Web. Also highlighted will be the pivotal role CVIP plays in this now complex and complicated age of generative AI CSAM. Attendees will gain insights into effective strategies for leveraging NCMEC’s resources to enhance their investigative efforts to better safeguard children.
