The Texas Attorney General’s Office received a lead from the NCMEC regarding child sexual abuse and child sexual abuse material. That single tip led to an investigation that utilized every facet of the MDT model, crossed state lines, changed the lives of everybody involved, and helped bring justice to the most vulnerable victims. This presentation examines how the tip led to the discovery of 30+ child victims and the arrest of three of the most prolific child abusers the State of Texas has seen. Utilizing local, State, and Federal resources to identify as many victims as possible and provide them with the services needed to start the healing process.
This case will be reviewed from the initial report from Meta to NCMEC, the use of the crime analyst to locate the offenders and the victims, and the collaboration between state, local, and federal investigators and prosecutors and victims’ services across the country. This class will provide a disturbing case study into one family’s actions and the investigation that led to the arrest of three monsters among us.
