In 2024, the Office of the Texas Attorney General secured three life sentences against Parrish Jamal Bell for kidnapping, trafficking, and sexual assault of a child. The prosecution took place in a rural jurisdiction far from many of the crime locations and required extensive witness coordination. This session will discuss the process of victim selection and abuse, the multi-agency effort to rescue a victim, and a successful integrated prosecution approach.
