Child Abuse Investigations Specialist Zero Abuse Project
This presentation examines the emerging social media platforms, Discord and Twitch, which are increasingly being used in the course of child exploitation crimes. The course highlights popular platforms Discord and Twitch by examining app features, updates concerning data retention policies, current case studies, and best practices in search warrant drafting, including but not limited to common pitfalls and exigency considerations. Presented by a retired ICAC investigator, this workshop also addresses selection of appropriate legal processes, reviewing search warrants for potential defects, and working with Discord and Twitch to obtain digital evidence.
