Many child abuse cases involve limited evidence and complex victim and witness dynamics. This workshop will explore the ethical concerns that prosecutors are often dealt as well as practical solutions to navigate those dilemmas. Participants will examine common ethical situations such as disclosure requirements, charging considerations, and sufficiency of evidence concerns. Participants will also evaluate the difference between difficult cases and cases that should not be prosecuted. The goal of this workshop is to empower prosecutors to make the best ethical decision in every case.
