This presentation explores healing from child sexual abuse and the trial process through stand-up comedy, meditation, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy. With the actual audio from the trial in 2006, Sebastian recounts the experience from the perspective of his 11 year old self, sharing what he was thinking and feeling throughout, and how the trial and abuse impacted him afterwards. He also details his journey discovering stand-up, podcasting, and sharing his story with millions online. Listeners will receive insight on healing from trauma, disassociation, and emotional suppression, as well as a roadmap to acceptance of whatever it is that has happened to you, the healing power of humor, and how to feel safe in the body again.
