Clinical Supervisor La Pinon's Childrens Advocacy Center
Our multidisciplinary and CAC work can contain many gray areas. One notable area that is frequently vaguely defined is boundaries. This includes boundaries within oneself, colleagues, team members, family, friends, and other loved ones impacted by our work. Using Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory, this presentation will explore boundaries within various systems (micro, meso, exo, macro, chrono). This will involve discussing professional emotional, physical, and relational boundaries and the unique interplay of boundaries within multidisciplinary settings.
Learning Objectives:
Define two systems MDT or CAC professionals encounter in our work per Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory
Articulate boundaries as a multidimensional concept that changes over time as we work with different multidisciplinary professionals
Describe two of your professional boundaries that can gradually collapse in your multidisciplinary role if not attended to consciously
