In general, approximately 70% of all convicted sex offenders are placed on probation and remain in the community. Often in the processing of a case, especially ones with digital evidence, there are factors seen by law enforcement that are not evidentiary, but provide the courts and supervising/treatment agencies valuable information on how to safely contain and support the offender in the community. This workshop will cover these extra‐evidentiary elements and provide examples of how they can be reported to the court and supervising/treating agencies.
Learning Objectives:
identify extra=evidentiary elements of a case
Provide supervising agencies with more accurate and complete information
Increase public safety through transmittal of important, often overlooked, case information
