This presentation by Cash App’s Global Intelligence Lead, Head of Special Investigations Unit, and Anti-Human Exploitation Program Manager will include a brief summary of platforms provided by Block, Inc. (Cash App, Square, TIDAL, and Afterpay), with a focus specifically on how Cash App is responding in terms of prevention, detection, and reporting of suspicious activity related to child exploitation. We will provide a high-level briefing on the financial intelligence that can be gathered from our Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and CyberTipline reports, and the ways law enforcement can access additional support from our Special Investigations team. Lastly, the Cash App team will present a case study example of a completed investigation in which Cash App detection and reporting was the point of discovery for law enforcement of a CSAM investigation that that resulted in the safeguarding of two minor victims.
