Michael Bourke, PHD, PLLC
Michael Bourke is the former Chief Psychologist for the United States Marshals Service, where he headed the USMS Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). Prior to joining the USMS he worked for the federal prison system's Sex Offender Treatment Program, where he provided treatment, conducted risk assessments and other forensic evaluations, and administered polygraph examinations. An active researcher, he co-authored the "Butner Study" and published seminal work on the use of Tactical Polygraph with sex offenders and the Interdiction for the Protection of Children (IPC) program. He has also published in the area of psychological safeguarding and is presently one of the lead researchers on the most comprehensive study ever conducted on first responder wellness.
