Valentin "Val" De Los Santos is a patrol sergeant with the Austin Police Department. He was a Child Abuse detective for six years. He has been a police officer for 16 years. Valentin has investigated hundreds of child abuse cases and conducted 300 hours of interview and interrogation. He is a TCOLE certified instructor and currently teaches Interview and Interrogation for his department. Valentin has a bachelor's degree from Texas State University and 30 years of active and reserve military service. Valentin has presented at the Crimes Against Children Conference in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
