Kelsey McKay is a highly recognized national expert on the topic of criminal asphyxiation and interpersonal violence. She spent twelve years as a child abuse, sex crimes, domestic violence, and homicide prosecutor in Austin, Texas, and exclusively prosecuted strangulation related crimes for half of that time. She now trains and consults nationally to implement sustainable protocols and that help strengthen how communities identify, investigate, and prosecute strangulation in cases ranging from intimate partner violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, child abuse, and homicide. She is the President & Founder of RESPOND Against Violence non-profit, is the owner of McKay Training & Consulting, LLC and also serves on multiple faculties, advisory boards, and committees.
