Lou's victim-centered approach is born of 28 years of experience as a county prosecutor, serving the most vulnerable victims. Before joining AEquitas, Lou was an ADA at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted and supervised DV and stalking cases. Lou then joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, where his work included trying a notorious 1993 mass homicide. Lou created their first Human Trafficking Unit and was a founding member of the Human Trafficking Task Force, and was cross-designated as a Special AUSA to coordinate multi-jurisdictional investigations.
As a prosecutor, Lou trained thousands of allied professionals. Lou has been a returning lecturer at Loyola and Northwestern law schools. Lou is a graduate of University of Illinois and NYU School of Law.
