AMBER Alert in Indian Country
Tyesha M. Wood is a former Police Detective with 17 years of law enforcement experience, specializing in Criminal Investigations for Sex Crimes and Crimes Against Children. Throughout her career, she worked closely with sovereign tribal nations in Arizona, collaborating with Multi-Disciplinary Teams in Tribal Family Advocacy Centers to support victims and families. Tyesha is currently the Program Manager for the AMBER Alert in Indian Country Program.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and a graduate degree from Grand Canyon University. A proud member of the Navajo Nation, Tyesha remains dedicated to initiatives that support justice, victim advocacy, and community response to protecting children within Indigenous communities.
