Lackawanna County District Attorney's Office
Chris Kolcharno supervises the Special Victims Unit for the Lackawanna County District Attorney's Office providing technical assistance to municipal police agencies and the Pennsylvania State Police with cases of physical and sexual abuse of children. In addition, he investigates suspicious deaths and homicides of children, online exploitation of children, and possession and distribution of CSAM. In 2023, Chris was promoted to Deputy Chief of Detectives. He is a member of the Pennsylvania ICAC and was a Task Force Officer for the FBI- Scranton Resident Agency, assigned to VCAC. Chris is a hostage negotiator for Lackawanna County SWAT. He received a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University in 1991. Chris is an associate for the National Criminal Justice Training Center NCJTC
