Michigan State Police

Detective Lieutenant Richard Lutz serves as a member of the Michigan State Police (MSP) and is currently overseeing the Major Case Units within the Third District's Special Investigation Section. In this role, he leads investigations into violent crimes in Saginaw and Flint, MI.
With over seven years of experience in the Second District Special Investigation Section, Richard was a member of the Detroit Homicide Task Force (HTF). His investigative portfolio includes homicides, officer-involved shootings, public corruption, and other major crimes.
