Missey has led the effort in establishing The Kelsey Smith Act which was first passed in Kansas and signed by Governor Kathleen Sebelius on April 17, 2009. To date 31 states have passed similar legislation. Missey and Greg’s efforts have included submitting testimony both written and in person at state legislatures and in Washington, D.C. They travel the U.S. training law enforcement on best practices for obtaining wireless location data in exigent circumstances.
