Dan Turner graduated from Ouachita Baptist University and was awarded his juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, School of Law. He took office as the elected prosecuting attorney for the 9th East Judicial District on January 1, 2019 and previously served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Clark, Garland, Perry and Pulaski Counties. He is a former member of the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation and is currently a member of National District Attorneys Association. Dan began his second term in office on January 1, 2023. He also serves as a board member on the Arkansas Sex Offender Assessment Committee and was appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson in 2022.
