Denise Bertone RN, BSN began working in the emergency room of an inner city level one trauma center in 1992. She became a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse and a sexual assault nurse examiner before transferring to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's office where she was administratively assigned to the pediatric cases. During her career she investigated 3,000 pediatric deaths.
