Stefan P. Bjes serves as a Team Adam Consultant with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, providing expertise during critical incidents involving missing children. He is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and autism advocacy. Stefan’s commitment to autism advocacy is both professional and personal. As a father of two sons with autism, he has leveraged his experiences to enhance law enforcement interactions with individuals with autism. Stefan was named the 2019 Juvenile Officer of the Year by the Illinois Juvenile Officer Association for his work with children with disabilities. In 2021, he received the Missing Children’s Law Enforcement Award from the U.S. Department of Justice for establishing programs to assist in preventing and locating missing children with disabilities.
