What Happened To You Foundation
Sebastian Scales is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, and nonprofit founder from Bainbridge Island, Washington. Sebastian graduated from Cornell University with a degree in engineering in 2017 and went to work for IBM in New York City. While there, Sebastian started doing stand-up comedy about his childhood sexual abuse experience. After shows, audience members would talk with Sebastian about their own traumatic experiences, many of whom had never told anyone before. These conversations led Sebastian to start the podcast ‘What happened to you?’. Since then, his videos have reached millions online.
In 2020, Sebastian created What Happened To You Foundation - a nonprofit organization dedicated to normalizing conversations about trauma using humor.
