Child Sexual Abuse allegations often stand alone, with very little in the way of physical or forensic evidence. Because of this, it's important as a multi-disciplinary team to work together to explore ways in which to make these cases as strong as possible before getting to the courtroom. This workshop will focus on various facets of the investigation, providing tips and suggestions for searching for corroborative evidence with the goal towards creating a more thorough investigation and a stronger case for the courtroom.
Learning Objectives:
Assess statements of all pertinent parties to uncover additional information and corroborative evidence
Discuss proper documentation of evidence in order to corroborate the child victim
Explore the use of expert witnesses in order to provide additional corroboration for counterintuitive behaviors of the child victim
