This workshop explores the critical contributions of each role within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in child abuse and neglect investigations, emphasizing their collective impact during case reviews and beyond. It highlights strategies to streamline processes, reduce victim re-traumatization, and foster effective collaboration. The session will examine the MDT Coordinator’s role in building trust, resolving conflicts, and sustaining interagency relationships, using a case study to illustrate the power of shared expertise and clear communication. Participants will gain practical tools to enhance MDT effectiveness, apply trauma-informed practices, and create a coordinated, child-centered response to abuse investigations.
