This session will examine the unique challenges repeat offenders of CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) and child sexual abuse present to investigators. Issues discussed will focus on traits of repeat offenders, barriers they present to successful prosecution, and best practices to engage repeat offenders. Interrogation practices will be applied which may provide investigators with tools to manage these cases. Two case studies will be presented with successful prosecutions of repeat CSAM offenders and their outcomes.
