Janeth Peterson, LMSW serves as the Assistant Director of Forensic Services at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC). Janeth has spent 14 years in the field of child abuse and maltreatment, with 13 years in forensic interviewing, a specialized field of interviewing children who have made a disclosure of abuse. She is trained in three forensic interviewing protocols (C-FIT, Semi-Structured Narrative Process, Child First). Janeth has conducted over 2,000 forensic interviews and has testified as an expert witness in civil and criminal proceedings involving child crime investigations. Additionally, Janeth trains law enforcement, Department of Family and Protective Services workers, and child advocacy center staff on forensic interviewing best practices and child abuse dynamics.
