Justin Almand

Justin Almand is the Chief Prosecutor of the Crimes Against Children’s Division at the
Rockwall County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in Texas. Since 2019, he has specialized in
the vertical prosecution of crimes against children, including physical and sexual abuse, neglect,
and cybercrimes. Over the course of his career, Justin has negotiated more than a thousand
criminal cases, balancing the pursuit of justice with the realities of the courtroom. Before
becoming a prosecutor, he served as an in-house litigation attorney for a major airline, where he
negotiated high-stakes financial disputes involving six and seven-figure settlements—dealing
with money rather than liberty. His diverse background in both corporate and criminal
negotiations provides a unique perspective on the art and strategy of negotiation.
